Biography

Welcome to the part of my website where you learn about me!  My name is Conor Clancy,  and I am a human photographer person based in Philadelphia.  I'm a Pisces sun with a Leo rising, a dog person (sorry cats, I'm so allergic to you!), still loyal to my black skinny jeans (they’re ideal for the photo pit), and completely obsessed with music photography.

Why music photography?  Music is so deeply intertwined with human emotion, and there's something truly magical about capturing another artist in their element, doing what they were put on this earth to do.  Whether I'm shooting in an intimate club, or a cavernous concert hall, I take pride in freezing the energy and emotion of a live performance in a single frame–and it doesn't stop on stage.

I can't imagine myself doing anything else in my life–I know because I've tried other career paths (fun fact: I have a BA in Theatre Production & Management from Marymount Manhattan College).  After weathering years of self-doubt, limiting beliefs, and a global pandemic, I finally reclaimed my identity as a photographer and artist in 2024.
